How to add blog to your existing wordpress site
To add a blog to an existing WordPress site, you can follow these steps:
1. Log in to your WordPress admin area. Typically, you can access it by appending "/wp-admin" to your site's URL (e.g., "yourdomain.com/wp-admin").
2. Once you're logged in, go to the Dashboard.
3. Navigate to the "Posts" section in the left-hand menu and click on "Add New." This will open the blog post editor.
4. In the blog post editor, enter a title for your blog post in the designated field.
5. Below the title, you'll find a content area where you can add the text, images, and other media for your blog post. You can use the formatting options provided to style your content.
6. If you want to add images, click on the "Add Media" button above the content area. You can then upload images from your computer or select from the media library.
7. Once you've finished writing your blog post, you can click on the "Publish" button on the right-hand side of the screen to make it live on your website. Alternatively, you can click on "Save Draft" if you want to come back to it later.
8. By default, WordPress will display your blog posts on the blog page. To create a dedicated blog page where your posts will be displayed, go to the "Pages" section in the left-hand menu and click on "Add New." Create a new page and give it a title like "Blog" or "News."
9. After creating the blog page, go to "Settings" in the left-hand menu and click on "Reading." In the "Your homepage displays" section, select "A static page" and choose the blog page you just created as the "Posts page."
10. Save the changes, and your blog page will now display your latest blog posts.
That's it! You have successfully added a blog to your existing WordPress site. You can continue creating new blog posts by following steps 3 to 7 and they will automatically appear on your blog page.
